Program Note:

Bells are some of my favorite musical instruments, with their pure, mystical, and subliminal qualities. My composition is inspired by these qualities. An image I associate with the music is an elaborate set of abandoned bells from an ancient civilization. The bells are inhabited by a collection of spirits. Some of these spirits are peaceful, some convey a deep sadness, and others are demonic.
